WEEK 6
Exercises Editorial
I wanted the design for this last editorial to be kept simple and classic.
I picked a light tone of beige for the background and a blue colour for the type.
The typefaces used for this are ‘’Modern N.20’’ and ‘’Bernard MT Condense’’
I did an index straight forward, big letters, big numbers and few words.
The white typefaces work on a blue background, and the opposite happens on the next page.
After finishing the whole composition, I decided to add the name of each exercise with big letters and reduce the opacity.
I spread the names around each page representing the exercise so the reader could locate themselves.
For the last part of the exercise's editorial, I added my project for Typography 2 discipline.
The chosen designer was Herb Lubalin a famous typography designer.
I then spread all the images belonging to my editorial project and my challenges and successes while working on the material.

Week Reflection
In general, working with editorial was a completely challenging experience. Understanding InDesign methods, tools, and techniques was quite complicated because, in the beginning, the application feels like it is limited, and I believe it happens because it deals with different methods to do simple things that are distinguished from Illustrator and Photoshop. So, I would say that InDesign is not a friendly tool when you do not know anything about it.
On the other hand, I believe my successful achievement comes from that struggle. After learning basic skills in the program, I was able to develop a good sense of what can be done in InDesign.
The application is one of the best printing methods because it seems to be made for it, the features that help you enhance and develop a good quality of printing stuff are very helpful.
I see myself working with InDesign as part of my designing process by creating an illustration with Illustrator, editing pictures in Photoshop and bringing it to InDesign to assemble it all together to have it printed.
